Art Barre at Peconic Ballet Theater

Peconic Ballet Theatre and East End Arts are pleased to announce their successful collaboration on a series of events for enthusiasts of all disci-

plines of visual and performing arts, as well as all community members, sponsored by Martha Clara Vineyards: Art Barre – A Collection of the East End’s Finest Arts. The two organizations planned spectacular evenings of wine tasting, art exhibitions by local artists, and a dance performance by Peconic Ballet Theatre’s professional dance company in their intimate theatre space, located at 71 E. Main Street in Downtown Riverhead, NY.

When asked how this series of events came about, Christiana Bitonti, founder, owner and instructor at Peconic Ballet Theatre shared: “I wanted to bring an event to Downtown Riverhead’s Main Street that resembles performances that are held in New York City. The East End is lled with talented artists under many different modalities and my goal is to bring attention to what they are doing for residents across the East End. New York City is lled with art and culture, and I believe that is also the case on the East End. Instead of taking a trip to New York, East Enders can enjoy those same types of events right in their backyard. As Riverhead continues its revitalization, I wanted to showcase that the arts community can aid in this renaissance. The collaboration with East End Arts and Martha Clara Vineyards is a very important part of this project as it emphasizes that art can be presented in so many ways – there is truly something for everyone.

Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy two complimentary glasses of wine sponsored by Martha Clara Vineyards while viewing an art exhibition by a notable East End Arts member artist to the tune of music by an East End Arts music program alum. After wine tasting and gallery viewing, guests will nd their way to Peconic Ballet Theatre’s intimate performance space to see a collection of work presented by Peconic Ballet Theatre’s professional dancers. The dancers will perform pieces of work that range from classical ballet to Jazz and even Modern. Art Barre is one-of-a-kind on the East End, where dance, visual art and music meet, designed to present a collection of the arts all in one space so all community members and arts lovers can enjoy many different types of art. Peconic Ballet Theatre’s intimate theatre space allows for a professional feel while still giving each and every audience member the best seat in the house.
